I downloaded a Radiohead album from emusic.com. I haven’t ever listened to them that I know, and since I don’t listen to commercial music radio or JJJ that probably means I have managed to really not listen to them at all.
In the car yesterday morning, I found them on the iPod next to whatever it [...]

Mel and James brought me back some gorgeous lacquered chopsticks from Japan in January. I used them for the first time the other night. They’re orange and hot pink and have little fabric holders and contrasting rests.
They’re from this shop e-ohashi. There are some very pretty things here and it’s largely my lack of knowledge [...]

I was trying to remember the last time i had a fight with my father, and I can dimly recall something back when i was about 14 or 15.
My mother and I used to clash quite regularly until I was about 32 or so and realised how not to fight with her.
The last time I [...]

Apparently it’s daylight savings next weekend. This is a horrifying thought for me - i’ve only just managed to start getting into work at 8:30.
Anyway. I was going to write down some stuff about today.
My list for the garden pretty much didn’t happen. It didn’t matter. There was space and a clean table outside.
Maureen brought [...]

It’s been nice to have a couple of quiet nights. Last night was in company, and I discovered the joys of playing Scrabble in real life. It was also nice to have a home-cooked meal after so many days of eating out. I am particularly fond of Nicky’s carbonara, and there was also banana cake.

I feel somewhat churlish but I am kind of getting over the whole father’s girlfriend thing. It’s nice for him that they are joined at the hip, but she isn’t actually MY family. It would be nice to spend some time with my family.

I am the victim of my own poor time management.
However I never miss a deadline.
The matron of honour dress was finished this morning after about ten or so hours from fabric to ready-to-wear.
Even I’m a little astonished at this. I didn’t even need to stay up all night.
Wedding is this afternoon at 3pm.
